What ages and restrictions are there in painting? Please read the Health and Safety Policy, but generally persons that can not be painted are to include: Anyone under 2 years. If the person can not tell me they want to be painted or they appear frightened or upset then I will not paint them. It is lovely to see the little ones painted, but I am unable to paint them if they are crying or can not sit still or follow instructions. I would much prefer that they have a happy memory of painting than be scared. I do not paint anyone who is obviously unwell, showing signs of a fever, rashes, open sores or wounds. I also do not paint people with sore eyes.
Do you have a minimum time for bookings?
Yes. A minimum of 1 hour is required. The time it takes to do a face or a design can vary due to a lot of different factors, such as the design in particular, wriggling children or any other distractions.

We can also provide our own shelter upon request (additional charges apply).
Will the paints stain my clothing or bed sheets and pillow cases? They may temporarily but should come off in a cold water wash. Do not use warm or hot water. To avoid staining bed sheets the face paint should be removed before bed.
Other Activities – Face painting is done one at a time (allocation). It is best to plan other activities for the children waiting to be painted. The best activities are the ones that allow children to come and go as their turn arrives. Many children ilke to watch the painting, but its better it they don’t crowd around.
Supervision – Please keep an eye on the children, I will number the childs hand, if birthday party – party person always get to be painted first. So as I call out each number the children can come accordingly. I like to give the painting and the child being painted my full attention, so am unable to supervise other children waiting.
What face paint do you use?
We use only cosmetic grade face paints and glitters.
How to best remove the paint? All art and designs can be washed off using running water and a mild soap. You can always also remove the excess paint first using baby wipes (I recommend Huggies frangrance free) or a damp cloth. If looked after the finishing results can last all day. Some colours will stain more than others so you may need to repeat cleaning depending on how long you have been wearing the face paint and what the colour is - this is normal and will fade within a day or two.
What do we do if we have allergies?
If you think you or the person that is to be painted has sensitive skin please or has allergies please ask for a patch test. (I apply a small amount of paint to the inside of the elbow and if after 30mins there is no reaction then I will be happy to paint them).
